Rapid Manage Booking API supports soft changes on existing bookings without incurring a financial readjustment.
The guest name change is one type of soft change. While you can make name changes for all bookings, there are certain circumstances where this should not be abused.
- You are considering changing a name for non-refundable (or in-penalty period) bookings.
- You have reason to believe that the property will not be comfortable with the name change. In particular, hotels are looking out for drastic changes in name or bookings that were made with a placeholder name and then changed to a more concrete name later.
Abusing this ability could result in cancellations and/or penalties from the hotel.
