Due to various legislative developments, Expedia must obtain and hold up-to-date tax information pertaining to its partners.

The partner's tax registration information is required for Expedia to evaluate and calculate the applicable amount of taxes from customers and partners for remittance to either the taxing authorities or to the partners.
