Get started by following the steps below.

Step 1 - Explore our XAP APIs solutions and apply to become a XAP API Partner

  • Go to the Overview page and explore the XAP APIs solutions that Expedia offers.
  • Complete XAP API Application Form to become a partner.
  • Once you have submitted the Application Form and have been approved as a partner you will receive further instruction on how to complete your onboarding as an Expedia XAP APIs partner.

Step 2 - Get Authentication Identifiers

Once you have completed your onboarding process we will email you the following elements that will then enable you to integrate our XAP API(s) with your website:

Make sure you have an API test tool, such as Postman or Bruno. Download the collections from here and import to postman to try it out.

Step 3 - Choose the integration type and XAP APIs capability for your business

  • Go to this page to better understand how to integrate with the APIs to suit your needs.

Step 4 - Integrate the XAP APIs into your application

  • Leverage our SDK for easy integration.
  • Refer Error handling sessions to handle errors properly.

Step 5 - Start testing

  • Start testing to check your travel integration works well.
  • Perform go-live readiness check to ensure you are ready to launch.

Step 6 - Go Live

  • Enable travel search and redirect customers to Expedia.
  • Monitor XAP APIs performance and traffic to ensure the service is running smoothly.
