Pre-Connection FAQs
Expedia's Technical SLAs?
The first step is to contact the Expedia Group Activities Connectivity team at lxapi@expedia.com and request to be scoped. Many platforms don't have the capabilities to adhere to our technical SLAs, so this needs to be vetted in advance.

Expedia's Technical SLAs are non-negotiable, as we have upstream services that we have to respond to within a certain time period, and we set our local SLAs to allow us to meet their requirements and to offer our customers the best experience possible.
Do pre-connectivity bookings get uploaded into my API platform?
Bookings made before your API connectivity was set up will not automatically be uploaded, but you can do this manually. Please speak to your platform directly for more information.
- For bookings made pre-connectivity, you will continue to receive a cancellation notification email from Expedia.
- You can also check on the status of these bookings in your Bookings Reports in Partner Central.
Pricing Ingestion FAQs
Does Pricing Ingestion support promotional pricing/promos?
Pricing Ingestion does not support promotional pricing/promos. If you want to apply promos for a particular option, you can create a different price group in Partner Central to manage it separately.
What if I have prices loaded in Expedia and Pricing Ingestion is enabled?
Prices ingested from the connectivity provider will override your current prices in Expedia. If the Pricing Ingestion failed because of a connection or validation issue, prices in Expedia will remain as is.
Can some products/options have Pricing Ingestion enabled and some not?
Yes, Pricing Ingestion can be enabled/disabled at the option level. If you want to enable/disable an option, please contact the Partner Support team via the Contact Us form.
Note: Your connectivity partner needs to be enabled on the Pricing Ingestion feature in order to take advantage of this feature.
What if the currency in the Connectivity Provider differs from Expedia?
Pricing Ingestion will fail because the currency in each system needs to be a match. Until either system is updated to match in currency, Pricing Ingestion will continue to fail and price in Expedia will remain as it is.
What if Volume per Person pricing differs from Volume per Group in Expedia?
Pricing Ingestion will fail due to a mismatch, and your price on Expedia will remain as is. Partner Central or connectivity provider setup will need to be updated to match.
Can I sync both Volume per Person and Volume per Group pricing with Expedia?
Expedia does not allow multiple price types to be returned per product and session start time/offerId. Prioritization will be per person pricing over Total in the instance both types are detected in the option.
How can I sync pricing for more than 8 people with Expedia?
Expedia currently supports group sizes up to 8. The connectivity provider will therefore return price for up to 8 persons to Expedia.
How does contracting NET price with Expedia affect price sync?
The connectivity provider will take the Retail price inclusive of any tax and make this available to Expedia. The system assumes the price is not NET. If you have loaded a NET price in your connectivity provider system, we recommend not enabling Price Ingestion with Expedia.
