Getting started

1. Become a partner

If you’re not yet an Expedia partner, you’ll need to apply to become one.

2. Gather your site requirements

The first thing we’ll need as we prepare to build your templated site is a technical resource on your team who will ideally serve as our single point of contact. This person will be the liaison between our team and yours, and should be able to understand and make technical decisions on your behalf.

Next, we’ll collect the essential information and brand assets that will be used to set up your site. We’ve prepared a list of required information and brand choices for you to reference.

3. Set up your domain and SSL certificates

We’ll help ensure that your site is secure by using your own domain and connecting to security certificates that you own. We’ll use the information you provide to give your templated site the appearance of being connected to your main site.

4. Let us develop the template site

Our team will build your site during this phase, keeping you in the loop the entire way through. We’ll set up the supply and your branding, integrate single-sign on and (if selected) your loyalty program, configure the site and the payment flow, create reporting and analytics, and provide support and testing. We’ll also assist you with connectivity, if needed.

5. Test your template site

Your Expedia launch manager will help you access a staging environment and work with you to ensure that the site is working as anticipated before it goes live to your customers.

6. Configure your analytics platform

Once your template site is live, we recommend that you set up to track its analytics. Our standard analytics setup uses Google Analytics. If your organization has an established Adobe Analytics process, we can enable Adobe Analytics as well, but we do not support or configure it.
